Built on the Water
Nemo's Eye was built by a lifelong angler. From the Lake Minocqua chain to Three Lakes, Eagle River, and the Wisconsin River — all of it shaped a life spent fishing year-round, in open water and on ice, from the time he was old enough to hold a fishing pole.
And for the last 18 years here in Minnesota, that same love of the water and fishing — along with a respect for conservation and a deep curiosity — has been passed down to the next generation.
That experience exposed a clear gap: the technology available to anglers never caught up to the science that already existed. “Data-driven” fishing apps relied on anecdotal inputs dressed up as insight — the predictions didn't hold up. Castable sonar often fell short in basic conditions, whether fishing from shore or trolling from a boat.
Access to public waters is a privilege. From novice to pro, anglers alike know that privilege comes with a responsibility: to be stewards of the lakes, rivers, streams, and ponds we all love.
That's why Nemo's Eye is built with water data monitoring as a primary focus for both recreation and conservation efforts — collecting user-agnostic, detailed water data that can support Wildlife & Natural Resources Departments, National Fish Hatcheries, Water Conservation Groups, and more.
Nemo's Eye is both an angler tool and a water monitoring system — equally by design. It didn't start as one and become the other. It was built to do both, from the beginning.
